Dr Vint Cerf has kindly agreed to grace the occasion and give the keynote for this event.
Dr Vinton Gray Cerf is an American Internet pioneer, widely known as a “Father of the Internet,” and the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet. His contributions have been acknowledged and lauded repeatedly with the National Medal of Technology, the Turing Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Marconi Prize and membership in the National Academy of Engineering and Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering.
Dr Cerf began his work at the US Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) playing a key role in leading the development of Internet and Internet-related data packet and security technologies. Since 2005, he has served as vice president and Chief Internet evangelist at Google.
